MAPS
provides Performer to client organisations, and in
turn, they provide their employees with an electronic
Record of Achievement - a personal and portable skills
passport that plugs into the organisation’s
Performer system.
The Record of Achievement can be unplugged from one
team or organisation and re-plugged into another
to take account of employee mobility. The Record
of Achievement belongs to the individual user.
It has three main functions. Firstly, it allows
line managers to endorse units of National Occupational Standards that have been
assessed using Assessor. Next,
it allows users to get endorsement from training
providers regarding the achievement of learning objectives. Finally,
the individual can record his or her qualifications.
Benefits of Record of Achievement:
- Enables the organisation's managers to
endorse performance as a result of supervision and observation of performance.
- Provides recognition and, as a result, motivates
employees to improve performance continuously.
- Allows training providers to endorse learning
achievement.
- Provides evidence for accreditation and underpins the
Framework for Achievement.
- Allows national bodies to measure and report
on endorsed achievement.
